About Brick House

Who We Are

Brickhouse Boxing Club’s Open Gym is designed for fighters who need a serious space to train, stay sharp, and stay ready. Whether you’re actively competing or grinding through your own training program, our facility gives you access to a full range of equipment, heavy bags, ring space, and conditioning tools.

What We Do

Coaches are always on-site. You’ll never walk into an empty gym. Our team is here during all open gym hours—not to run your session, but to support you when needed, offer guidance, and keep the environment focused and respectful.

Whether you’re shadowboxing, sparring with your teammates, or dialing in your technique, this is your space to work. Real fighters. Real coaches. Real work

Coach Leaf Steuernagel

Coach Leaf is a seasoned boxing instructor with over three decades of experience in the sport—as a fighter, trainer, and coach. A proud U.S. Army veteran, his coaching style is rooted in discipline, structure, and accountability, balanced with motivation and a genuine passion for helping others grow.

Leaf’s approach goes far beyond boxing technique. He focuses on developing strength, endurance, and conditioning, while also instilling values like character, respect, and perseverance. Whether someone’s goal is weight loss, self-confidence, or stepping into competition, Leaf builds a customized plan to help them reach it—with constant support and a no-nonsense, uplifting energy.

As Head Coach of Brickhouse Boxing Club, Leaf has produced over 23 champions across New York, national, and professional levels. His track record speaks for itself—but it’s the way he builds people up that makes his impact lasting.

To Coach Leaf, boxing is more than a sport—it’s a tool for transformation. He sees every athlete not just for where they are now, but for who they can become. His training sessions are challenging, but they’re also filled with purpose, pushing fighters to discover their potential both physically and mentally.

Coach Brain Vera

Coach Brian is an open-class USA Boxing amateur fighter and a certified coach with a passion for the sport that runs deep. With years of experience and an even fight record that reflects hard-earned lessons, he’s grown into a sharp, technical fighter and a well-respected presence in the gym.

As a USA Boxing Coach and ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Brian brings a balanced approach to training—combining the intensity of boxing with the science of strength and conditioning. Whether you’re here to compete, get in shape, or gain confidence, Brian’s goal is simple: help you level up physically and mentally, inside the ring or out.

He founded Brickhouse Boxing Club to build more than just fighters—he’s building a community, day by day, brick by brick.

At Brickhouse, he creates an inclusive space where discipline and camaraderie go hand in hand. From first-timers to seasoned athletes, everyone trains together, learns from each other, and grows stronger as a team. Under Brian’s leadership, every round is a chance to grow—not just as a fighter, but as a person.
